Dr. Jino George is an experimental physical chemist by training. He received his Ph.D. on chiral plasmonics (2012) from CSIR-NIIST Thiruvananthapuram. Later, he spent five years at the University of Strasbourg, France as a post-doctoral fellow. At Strasbourg, he studied the effect of strong light-matter interaction on the chemical and physical properties of coupled molecules and materials. At IISER Mohali, his studies are focused on understanding the properties of hybrid light-matter states and its application in controlling chemical reaction rates. He is also interested in studying the transport behavior of electromagnetically dressed 2D materials.
